Den Groups

cub scouts

We are an all boys Pack composed of elementary school aged children from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.

We are chartered at

St. Bernardine of Siena Parish

24410 Calvert Street.,

Woodland Hills, CA 91367

This means that St. Bernardine sponsors our Pack so that we could hold our monthly Pack meeting there, which is usually every 2nd Monday of the month, from 6:00-7:00pm.

All faiths and beliefs are welcome.

handbooks

Each cub scout is encouraged to get a copy of the Scout Book as it highlights each advancement that the scout will work on during the year. It also helps each parent to keep track of their scouts progress and be familiar with the benefits the program has to offer.

Advancements

belt loops

Each scout aims to achieve 5-6 advancements plus 2 electives to earn their rank. This is something they will receive during the Blue and Gold Ceremony at the end of each Scouting year.

Throughout the year they will receive belt loops as they complete each advancement.

Parent Involvement

volunteers

Parent involvement is an integral part of the Cub Scout Program.

Cub Scouting is FUN for the whole family. Getting everyone involved makes the experience more meaningful for your Cub Scout.

There is a place for every parent, or legal guardian who wants to

HELP, VOLUNTEER, AND LEAD.

Den/Pack Meetings

Den/Pack Meetings

Den/Pack Meetings

den meetings

Each den sets their own meeting schedule based upon what works best for them, location also varies depending on each den.

This is also a good opportunity for our scouts to get to know each other and develop life long skills.

Hiking

Den/Pack Meetings

Den/Pack Meetings

The pack schedules a monthly hike usually on a weekend. This will never overlap with other pack & den activities.

Best part is that for every

three (3) hikes each scout participates in, they will earn a hiking stick.

When you earn enough hiking miles, you get a patch for your accomplishment.

Camping

Den/Pack Meetings

Fundraising

camping

Cub Scout camping is a family-centric program. Cub Scouts can go camping up to 2-nights with their parents or legal guardians.

Our pack has at least one camp-out scheduled every year where we enjoy the outdoors and plan a fun-filled activity for all.

Fundraising

Cub Scout Benefits

Fundraising

We primarily sell popcorn as a means to raise funds all of our activities for the entire scouting year. Our selling season starts around September and lasts until November. Each scout can choose a shift that is convenient to them or can do it on their own via "wagon" sales.

This teaches our scouts the principle of  “paying your own way,” the value of a hard work, and goal setting.
